Belonging to CWC has enlarged my world of writers. I have made wonderful friendships. Our monthly speakers offer information on different aspects of writing such as craft and publication. Because of CWC I belong to a critique group and a monthly writing group where we share our creativity. Our club members offer their skills and knowledge. I leave each meeting full of inspiration, and knowing I don’t have to be a lonely writer. I have contacts now.

I’m grateful to be a member of CWC. The monthly meetings are engaging and informative. I’ve learned about pitch decks and am getting a feel for working with agents and what a book proposal looks like. I love the break out groups; a wonderful way to get acquainted. My goal for 2022 is to submit to and be included in the next Fault Zone Anthology.

CWC has been a foundational support in my writing career. I wrote a complete draft of a memoir in a critique group at CWC Marin, then joined SF Peninsula branch in 2001. Joining the board as VP in 2014 connected me with speakers in the community, gave me a voice in club policy, and taught me about leadership. This club has given me a platform to develop and make presentations at Think Tank, local libraries, and San Mateo County Fair’s literary stage. Fault Zone has provided an audience for my writing. I’ve made friends here—rich relationships that help me feel less alone as I write. And I’ve found clients for my editing and coaching services. We are a talented community of writers—supporting and helping each other. I encourage you to join us, get involved, and help shape the future of this dynamic branch!

So glad I joined the CA Writers Club!... I like the supportive atmosphere and variety of writing genres represented by this group. I've heard some inspiring speakers. I’ve had nice networking chats over the monthly, weekend breakfasts. I’ve even met some ongoing, one-on-one critique partners.

Our CWC branch was instrumental in helping me understand the book publishing world. When I joined I had an idea for a book, but didn't know how to go about writing it and everything that was involved. The members embraced me, educated me, and helped me through the entire process to find an agent and then get published. They are there for all members and to this day, some of my very best friends. I'm so grateful I found this club and want to give back as I was given so much.

This community of writers is the most supportive, loving and thoughtful group of people I’ve ever met. My fears of not being good enough were immediately dispelled! My writing has blossomed in ways I never thought possible because of the support I found here. Come join us

I started as a CWC member knowing nothing about the publishing industry. I'm now a member of three branches and have two published novels. Years of meetings and hours of listening to knowledgeable speakers gave me the knowledge I needed to make my dream of becoming a published author come true. I look forward to continued success with the group and giving back to my fellow writers whenever possible.

The California Writers Club San Francisco Peninsula validated my writing by publishing my stories in their Fault Zone Anthology for the last three issues. In addition, the Literary Review and the High Desert clubs added to my confidence by featuring my works. The level of comradery and support, both emotional and professional, exceeds my expectations.

When I decided to turn my lifelong dream of writing stories into a reality, I walked into the first meeting with desire, along with the reality that I knew little about the craft. I met writers willing to help. I receive much from the speakers we attract and from the generous relationships I form with other writers. I’m grateful for this community of writers helping writers. I encourage anyone serious about the craft of writing to check us out.
