Enter the Fault Zone!

Fault Zone is a biennial project of the SF Peninsula chapter, combining the efforts of authors and mentoring editors to create an anthology rooted in the CWC’s mission: Writers Helping Writers.  For the upcoming eleventh edition, we invited members to summon from their imaginations, life histories, and
writers’ craft new stories of fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction sparked by the title the most-recent past editor (per tradition) selected: Fault Zone: Faultless?

Submissions closed on October 31 st , and the editors are now sorting submissions. Those who submitted their work will be receiving messages during the submission review period: questions from the editors, surveys, and updates. We advise you all to keep an eye on your in-boxes. Decisions will be made in early 2025. We encourage everyone who can to attend the January meeting, when your Fault Zone editor-in-chief will be the speaker: the topic is understanding publication agreements.

Our publication date is December 1 st , 2025. In the meantime, we’ll select stories and poems, work with each of the authors to support them as they revise and refine their work, and assemble the collection into a singular volume to be available worldwide through our publisher’s distribution network as well as in-person at all our events. Any member is welcome to join the Fault Zone production team!

Previous installments of Fault Zone are readily available online and in person. Remember to post reviews, encouraging other readers around the world to connect with the work of CWC members.
